Description
In support of PEO Submarine Programs, the Naval Sea Systems Command intends to host an industry day for future combat system requirements. Industry day will be held on 20 March 2008 from 0900 - 1100 EDT at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC ? (Headquarters Building 197, Room 1W-2100 (first floor Auditorium)). These Tactical, Weapons and Acoustics systems provide mission critical, capabilities for Attack Submarine (Nuclear Propulsion) (SSN) - SSN688 (Los Angeles class), SSN 21 (Sea wolf class), Submersible, Ship, Guided, Nuclear (SSGN Ohio class) and SSN 774 (Virginia class) submarines with potential for Ship, Submersible, Ballistic, Nuclear (SSBN) (Trident class) submarines. Attendance will be limited to no more than two individuals per company or organization. Due to space limitations, additional restrictions on the number of attendees may be imposed. Briefing will be held at the UNCLASSIFIED level. Parties interested in attending must notify Maura Vaughan, at e-mail: Maura.Vaughan@Navy.Mil, (202) 781-1478, no later than 14 March 2008 (via email) to submit a visit request and a security clearance. Requests received after 14 March 2008 will not be accepted. The Industry Day data will be provided for informational purposes only to enhance industry's understanding of these programs. The intent of the Industry Day is to provide our Industry Partners with an opportunity to learn more about PEO Submarine?s commitment to open systems, common procurement practices, and long-term relationships to enable spiral development and technology insertion. Future requirements may include Integrated Submarine Imaging Systems (ISIS), Tactical Control (TC), Weapons Control (WC) and others that lend themselves to these characteristics. Specific details regarding the timing of the release of any future solicitations and other pertinent information shall be provided via separate synopsis. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept proposals as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not respond to any specific questions or comments submitted in response to this synopsis or information provided as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not award a contract resulting from this synopsis.
