- Description
- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR B747-100 OR 200 INITIAL PILOT TRAINING. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to: (A) Provide answers in response to vendor questions: Question 1: Do you in fact want 80 hours of ground school at your facility, or can it be done as 40 hours of home study and 40 hours of ground school? Answer 1: 80 hours of ground school shall be at our facility. Question 2: Do we need to provide a seat fill as the Flight Engineer, or would you be sending an F/E with the pilots?(again my assumption is that we are training pilots?not F/E?s)? Answer 2: We are training pilots only, but would like a price quote both with engineers provided and without. (See Item B below) Question 3: As to day/night simulator sessions, we could not commit to a date and time until we are ready to book time in the simulators. Would this be acceptable? Answer 3: The Type Rating Qualification, including Simulator Training, shall be completed within 7 weeks from the start of the Ground School Training on April 28, 2008 (see Item C below). Question 4: How do we fill out the 1449 form? Answer 4: Please fill in blocks 12, 17a (with Cage Code), 20-24, and 30a-30c (with signature) to the best of your ability. (B) Insert a requirement for the vendor to provide a separate quote for the flight engineers that are sent with the training pilots as follows: Insert the following under REQUIREMENTS: "9. Separate price quote for flight engineers that are sent with the pilots." (C) Delete and replace clause regarding the Simulator Training. Deleted requirement under AOD SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: "2. Simulator training shall start May 26, 2008 in the location of the awarded contractor." Replacement requirement under AOD SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: "2. The Type Rating Qualification, including Simulator Training, shall be completed within 7 weeks from the start of the Ground School Training on April 28, 2008." The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on March 03, 2008.
