- The Fort Knox Directorate of Contracting is conducting market research for the following requirement: Meals, Lodging and Transportation for the Omaha Military Entrance Processing Station located at 5303 F Street, Omaha, NE 68117-2805 during the pe riod 1 August 2008 through 31 July 2009, with 4 one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, vehicles, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the required work. The requirement incl udes, but is not limited to, meals, lodging, and transportation for applicants arriving on Sundays through Thursdays, and approximately 30 Fridays. Services may be required on other days due to emergency situations such as canceled airline flights or incl ement weather. Applicants shall be provided a supper meal, overnight lodging, breakfast the following morning, and transportation to the MEPS immediately after breakfast. Transportation carrier must be DoD approved at the time the proposal is submitted, if the carrier is a non-organic hotel resource. The contractor's facility shall comply with applicable fire and safety codes and regulations. In addition, contractors shall provide, as a minimum: one recording security camera with recordings to be kept for a minimum of 30 days; provide a security guard onsite at all times the applicants are in the hotel ; provide interior guest room entry; guest room windows shall not open more than 6 inches; and no cooking ranges/stove tops or garbage disposals in guest room s. Estimated number of applicants processed annually is 5,117. The average number of applicants processed daily is 15; however, the possibility exists for the daily number to reach 75. The appropriate NAICS code is 721110 with a size standard of $6,500,0 00.00 This synopsis is not a request for proposal. It is a market research tool being used to determine procurement strategy. Appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of industry response to this sources sought syno psis. The government is not obligated to, and will not, pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.
