Description
This is a Request For Information (RFI)for planning purposes only. No solicitation exists and is purely market research. The Armed Forces Inaugural Committee Contracting Office, located in the Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE),5200 Army Penta gon, Room 1C243, Washington DC 20310-5200 is soliciting REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION (RFI) from potential industry sources to provide facility/hosting support to the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee Team Building Conference tentatively scheduled for 25-27 Augu st 2007***This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. Additionally, the Government may utilize any information submitted by in terested parties to assist in developing a statement of work and/or statement of objectives that could potentially result in a competitive solicitation. We advise offerors not to submit any information that they would not want to be used for this purpose. The award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The FSC Code is 99 and the NAICS Code is 721110 BACKGROUND: The Armed Forces Inaugural Committee (AFIC) supports the ceremonial aspect of the Presidential Inauguration. As part of these duties the AFIC c oordinates with and supports the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC). A critical part of kick-off of this work effort is the AFIC Team Building Conference where prior AFIC and PIC staff, current AFIC and PIC Staff, and special supporting guests come to gether to connect with their counterparts, learn about the last inaugural, and forge a tight coordinating relationship to provide the best support possible to the Presidential Inauguration. AFIC requires a site for this conference to be as all inclusive a s possible to maximize the scarce train-up time. The host support provider must be able to: provide rooms for approximately 180 at the local Per Diem rate and in short walking distance (less than a city block) to the meeting and eating spaces, capable o f providing VIP accommodations for select guests no less than 12 special guests, provide meeting space separate from eating area, provide basic in-house audio/visual support to include but not limited to: overhead projector, slide projector, LCD projector , projection screen, VCR & Monitor, podium & microphone, whiteboard, pencils and Pads; provide parking for cars and busses at the facility, ability to provide all meals-to include a special event barbecue reception for all attendees, ability to provide and service a cash bar, provide continuous refreshment breaks with hot and cold beverages and a wide variety of snacks, free access to the internet, and access to a guest office conscierge to get on a computer. The location for this conference must be away from our normal duty location, Washington D.C., yet within one to one-and-a-half hours driving distance from down town Washington D.C. (approximately 50 miles maximum from DC).***CONCLUSION: The Government prefers that no proprietary or confidential busin ess data be submitted in response to this RFI. However, the Government would like any information relating to the potential services required that potential service providers have in place such as: contract number, who the contract is with, and any other information relevant to the contract such as price list, etc. All information in response to this RFI shall be sent via email NLT 1200 Noon on March 17, 2008 to kollhoffj@conus.army.mil . We would prefer any attachments you use to be in Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Excel format. All offerors must be Central Contracting Registered (CCR) to participate in the RFI. Responses should include the name, email address, and telephone number of a point of contact having authority and knowledge to discuss respons es with Government representatives. All email correspondence concerning this RFI should reference and refer to RFI Number W90QCN-08-I-0001. Lastly, we strong ly encourage potential service providers to use the information provided herein as reference information.
