Description
The Program Manager, Tank Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command is conducting a Sources Sought Market Survey in accordance with FAR Part 10. This notice neither constitutes an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. PM Tank Systems is seeking sources that can address the needs of the United States Marine Corps to provide a 120MM Multi-Purpose, High Explosive (MP-HE) tank cartridge. The 120MM MP-HE cartridge shall, provide a point detonation, delay and airburst capability (Threshold). In order to achieve desired thresholds, with the 120mm MP-HE cartridge, a data link is required. This 120mm MP-HE data link interface shall be in accordance with the Interface Control Documents (ICD), 120 mm Tank Main Armament Systems (Weapon and Ammunition) Interface with Voltage Supply and Bidirectional Data Transfer between System and Loaded Cartridge, Issue 6, dated May 2004. ICD can be made a vailable by submitting an email to phillip.patch@usmc.mil. Proprietary information submitted in response to this Sources Sought shall be marked accordingly and will be protected when clearly identified as such. This announcement is for purposes of exchanging information to improve understanding of the Government requirement and industry capability and is for information and planning only. This announcement must not be construed as a commitment by the Government and any information submitted by industry will not constitute an offer which could be accepted by the Government to create a binding contract. The Marine Corps Systems Command Program Manager for Tank Systems will host an Industry Day Conference on 20 March 2008 at the Jacobs Building, 3996 Fortuna Center Plaza (I-95 North/Dumfries Rd. (Rt. 234) interchange), Dumfries, Virginia in Conference Room ?A?. Vendor Visit requests are required. Additionally you are requested to s ubmit your visit request (security information) to Mr. Herman Hill, facsimile 703-221-7735 no later than 17 March 2008. Visit requests are to be received NLT Close of Business 17 March 2008. Industry day will commence at 0830. 0800-0830 will be for check in.
