Description

This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and no further written solicitation will be issued. This solicitation is for daily monitoring and maintenance/ service for all fire and intrusion alarm systems located at the following National Historic Sites.: Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, Brookline, MA John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site, Brookline, MA Longfellow National Historic Site, Cambridge, MA Please review section C of this solicitation for a detailed Scope of Work. The National Park Service intends to enter into a base plus 4 option years contract. At this time the National Park Service will be awarding the base period of this contract with a performance period 04/07/2008- 3/31/2009. Award will be based on best value for the government. Price is approximately equal in importance to non-price factors. Please provide evidence ot the following evaluation factors as part of the quote package: 1. Contractor must be a Massachusetts licensed Burglar Alarm and Service Company that has regularly engaged in the installation and maintenance of similar intrusion alarm systems and must show proper evidence that he is accustomed to performing work of the specified scope and project size. 2. Contractor must be one who has been in business for a minimum of ten years. Provide (3) letters of reference. 3. Contractor shall be one who owns and operates a central station manned by personnel on company payroll. No sub-contracting of central station monitoring will be permitted. No sub-contracting of service calls will be permitted. 4. Contractors must be registered in the Federal Government's Central Contractors Registration (C.C.R.) database. The NAICS code being used for this project is 5616210 with a size standard of $11.5 Million. This solicitation is subject to Small Business Set Aside procedures. All responsible sources who meet small business set aside criteria may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency.
