- The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quote for a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the preparation and painting of the exterior surfaces of the Big Cypress National Preserve Headquarters Building, Ochopee, FL, Solicitation Number Q5120085258. The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about, March 26, 2008 with Quotes due approximately 15 days following issuance. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE AND EMAIL REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: This contract consists of the furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision and performing all operations required for the painting of masonry, aluminum and steel surfaces, to include walls, ceilings, doors, floor surfaces, gutters, and screen wall surfaces. Floor surfaces consist of a spray concrete finish over concrete walkways, which has developed minor to severe cracking, sections of this surface will require replacement of the floor leveling material beneath the spray concrete finish. All flooring surfaces will be finish coated with an approved slip resistant water proofing system. Additionally, concrete restoration on some of the poured concrete beams in the hallways will be required. The gross square footage of the facility is approximately 20,000 s.f. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204 the estimated construction price range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code 238320, $13 million. This acquisition is subject to P.L.100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is subject to full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Contractors are urged to make a site visit to ascertain existing work conditions. Further details will be described in the solicitation; all interested offerors are encouraged to attend.
