- Description
- This is a Sources Sought Notice. This notice is a mechanism for obtaining feedback from industry in regard to the general requirements stated below. THIS IS NOT A SYNOPSIS FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool to determine potential sources prior to issuing a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is pursuing a contractor for integrated commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products used to sense, aggregate, and visualize global Internet protocol routing data to enable technical studies and analyses. The purpose of this order is to obtain data and analytic tools and expertise that will improve the understanding of Internet assets and their influence on the survivability of NS/EP and Federal agency communications. Current requirements are for the contractor to provide a software-based analytic tool and corresponding data that can: Identify network anomalies and determine how they impact communities of interest, characterize the relationships and interdependencies between Internet Service Providers (ISP) and other infrastructure providers, integrate and correlates internal and external routing, inventory, and activity data, and scale to include any computer network related data source, access and collect global Internet routing data that provides at a minimum 90% coverage of usable Internet space, collect and visualize netflow data for malicious activity investigation, visualize global and local networks with Google Earth-like functionality, and interoperate with existing systems and data sources. So that we may better determine capabilities for this upcoming procurement, please submit your company's capability statement in no more than five (5) pages [not including cover page or table of contents]. All materials should be sent via email to tiffany.kindred-lopez@dhs.gov by 10:00 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday March 19, 2008. No cost or pricing is required.
