- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource (OCRM), in partnership with the National Estuarine Research Reserve Association (NERRA), hosts the annual Ocean & Coastal Managers' Program Meeting in Washington, D.C. This annual meeting brings together coastal managers from states, territories, and commonwealths from across the nation and provides a forum for discussion with their federal counterparts on emerging issues in ocean and coastal resource management.In accordance with a Joint Project Agreement pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1525 (Second Paragraph) between the U.S. Department of Commerce,National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Ocean Service, Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management and the National Estuarine Research Reserve Association, NOS Agreement Code: MOA-2006-007/7130, NERRA is responsible for providing the following resources in support of the meeting: 1) Co-lead the planning group to develop the agenda; 2) Negotiate contract with the meeting facility; 3) Collect registration fees from meeting participants to cover the cost of meeting services and relevant administrative costs; 4) Provide pre-meeting and on-site logistical support. No other source is known to possess the same capabilities.Notwithstanding the Government's intent to negotiate on a single source basis under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, any source possessing the capabilities to provide the required service may submit a statement of capabilities which, if timely received, will be considered by NOAA.
