- Description
- The Amarillo VA Health Care System has a requirement for professional radiology services as required by the Amarillo VA HealthCare System. The VA requires a contract radiologist be physically on-site at the VA campus to perform these services. These services include performance and formal interpretations of fluoroscopic procedures, CT, Ultrasound, routine images accessible on VISTA Radiology Workstations, and or hardcopy/CD images. On occasions, when the contractor is not on-site for a stat preliminary read, the VA agrees to contact the contractor and notify them the VA will provide transmitted images or CD for CT images to review and a faxed copy of the radiology request with pertinent information. Hardcopy film and or CD will be provided for all other procedures and a copy of the request will be provided. The contractor agrees to call and fax the stat preliminary report to the ordering provider/designee or the VA Emergency Room within 1-2 hours received even if the results are normal. Radiology is to receive the same report on their fax. The contractor agrees when performing formal interpretations, will utilize automated voice recognition dictation system and perform the appropriate designated codes established. Contractor shall abide with notifications of abnormal findings policy and MCM. All major abnormal findings that require immediate attention will notify the ordering provider/designee and have the provider/designee name, date and time notified of the results into the body of the report. A copy of this policy will be provided upon contract award. All CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopic and routine procedures shall have a formal interpretation report completed within 48 hours from the time the procedure is accessible to the contractor. Contractor agrees to provide on-call emergency coverage twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Contracted radiologist scheduled during normal working hours agrees to attend weekly Lung Nodule and Tumor Board meetings and provide monthly readings for the Over-reads program. The contract period shall be for a base year, from April 1, 2008 through March 31, 2009, subject to award and the availability of funds. This procurement is conducted under the authority listed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The applicable NAICS Code is 621111 and the size standard is $9.0 million dollars. The solicitation is due on or before March 24, 2008, by 3:00PM local time (Amarillo, Texas). Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be forwarded to all interested individuals who request copies of the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for acknowledging amendments.
