Description
SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of COTS/NDI Tagging, Tracking, and Locating (TTL) sensors and ancillary equipment to include fielding and logistics support for various joint commands and other customers. These customers have a requirement for the procurement and support of portable, lightweight equipment to provide an immediate capability to tag, track, and locate targets. The TTL equipment must provide the user with enhanced situational awareness from various emplaced sensor devices. This procurement will provide the Warfighter with critical capabilities as outlined in OPLAN 7500 and the Joint Improvised Explosive Devices Defeat Organization???s operational needs statement. This procurement will be unrestricted, with award to be made via full and open competitive proposals. The anticipated award date of the subject contract is scheduled for October 2008. It is anticipated the solicitation will be available on or about 27 March 2008, at the SPAWAR Business Opportunity Website, located at the following address: http://E-Commerce.spawar.navy.mil. Each offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments. No paper distribution of these documents will be provided. The government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm Fixed Price/Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, Performance Based contract estimated at $450,300,00.00 over a five year period (base year plus four one-year options).
