- Description
- Have you been contacted about being part of a class action to recover fees that were allegedly wrongfully charged by Visa, MasterCard or Diner Club for international travel? This class action lawsuit mentioned above is about the price cardholders of Visa, MasterCard, or Diners Club branded payment cards were charged to make transactions in a foreign currency, or with a foreign merchant, between February 1, 1996 and November 8, 2006. You may have been contacted and asked to file a claim for travel between 1996 and 2006. Federal employees or contractors should not pursue any refund claim based on foreign exchange fees incurred on transactions that were either paid for or reimbursed by the federal government. The DOJ is continuing to assess potential remedies the federal government may pursue in this matter. If you have been contacted and have already filed a claim based on travel that was paid for or reimbursed by the federal government, you should contact Diana Rabinowitz, FAA, Chief Counsel's Office, Acquisition and Commercial Law Branch, AGC-520 at Diana.Rabinowitz@faa.gov immediately.
