- Description
- The 325th Contracting Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, intends to award a contract pursuant to FAR 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price requirements contract with one (1) basic year plus four (4) option periods. The contractor will supply all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for movement or drayage and related services, (packing/unpacking, crating/uncrating, containerization/de-containerization) of household goods and unaccompanied baggage. The area of performance will consist of Bay, Gulf, Gadsden, Leon, Liberty, Wakulla, Franklin, Calhoun, Washington and Jackson counties. Performance of work to be in accordance with Department of Defense Regulation 4500.9R, Part IV, available at http://public.transcom.mil/j5/pt/dtr.html. Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be based on Appendix G (including appendices G1-G6). This is 100% set-aside for small business concerns under the standard industrial classification code 4783; NAICS code 488991, and the size standard is $23.5 million. The government intends to award a delivery order to the offeror who is found to be responsible, whose past performance is found to be acceptable, and who represents the best value to the government considering price and price related factors. The government reserves the right to evaluate and give evaluation credit for proposed features that exceed either the stated thresholds or objectives. In addition, to be eligible for award offerors are required to meet the following qualifications: (1) be Department of Defense (DOD) approved through Military Traffic Management Command, 5611 Columbia Pike, Falls Church, VA 22041-5050, (703) 681-6393; (2) shall be licensed by the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) to move household and personal goods; and (3) be certified by appropriate state regulatory body for intrastate transportation of household and personal goods. The solicitation package will be issued on or about August 2008, on Federal Business Opportunities website.
