Description

The proposed contract action is one for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The intended source is Aimpoint Inc., CAGE 3J629, 14103 Mariah Court., Ch antilly VA 20151-2113. The items to be procured are spare parts to support the M68 Close Combat Optic (CCO) Reflex Sight. The M68 CCO is proprietary to Aimpoint. Aimpoint is the only supplier that can insure inventory interchangeability of these spares and the only supplier that can provide the Government with these fully interchangeable spare parts prior to the Required Delivery Date of August 2008. This specific procurement is for twenty-seven (27) distinct spare parts to the M68 Close Combat Optic ( CCO). Item 1 is common to both the M2 and M4 configurations. Items 2 through 11 are Comp M2 configuration parts while items 12-27 are Comp M4 Configuration Parts.
