Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, on behalf of the Robotic Systems Joint Project Office (RSJPO), has a requirement to acquire spare parts in support of the RC60 robotic systems currently fielded in theater. The parts being purchased are for the Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) developed Modular Robotic Control System, which supports the RC60 Robotic System. ARA, Inc. owns all rights to the RC60 Robotic System and is its only manufacturer. This synopsis is to announce the intent of PEO STRI to award a FFP contract to Applied Research Associates, Inc., as they are the sole producer of the Modular Robotic Control System and the on ly known company capable of providing the spares required for this effort.
