Description
AT-4 Multipurpose 9MM Training Round NSN: 1305-01-307-5536, Part Number: 12913958. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The Government will utilize the information provided only to develop the acquisition strategy for future requirements. All i nformation submitted will be held in a confidential status. DODIC A358, NSN 1305-01-307-5536, Cartridge, 9MM, Tracer, Practice Round for the AT4 Trainer. The M939 9mm Cartridge is used in combination with the AT4 tracer trainer launcher. The M939 Tracer cartridge is to operate in the M287 Sub-Caliber Tracer Trainer. The round has a lighter powder charge than a standard 9mm bullet. The lighter charge enables the cartridge to closely duplicate the trajectory of the AT4 tactical round. The M939 9mm cartridge also has a tracer element to enable the firer to compare the impact of the cartridge with the sight picture. The trace is to be ignited out to 450m, must duplicate the flight of the AT-4 out to 500m, and a max range of 1,800 m. Interested companies should respond by providing the Government the following information: a brief summary of the companys capabilities (a description of facilities, personnel, and past manufacturing experience as it relates to the above criteria) and availability . The NAICS code for this item is 332992 with a business size standard of 1000 employees. Please indicate your business size in your response. Interested companies should provide minimum and maximum monthly production (and if manufacturing resources are shared with other item/production lines). Additionally, it is requested you provide the Minimum Procurement Quantity (MPQ) required for economical production. A respondent to this survey should be able to show adequate technical and manufacturing capabi lity and good past performance in the small caliber ammunition industry. A respondent to this market survey must have available a majority of the skills and facilities that are required to manufacture these items. If a respondent does not have adequate r esources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc.) available, the respondent, must be able to demonstrate and should describe his ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria. Interested companies should also include a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) for a quantity of 250,000 cartridges. All contractors interested in this future solicitation must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database. Interested parties have 30 calendar days from the date of this publication to submit information to be considered in the development of the acquisition strategy for this item.
