Description

The United States Geological Survey, Hydrological Instrumentation Facility intends to award a non-competitive contract IAW FAR 13.5 Test Program for Commercial Items for MS5 Multiprobe Sensors at Stennis Space Center, MS. Hach Environmental is the only known source for compatible equipment. No other entity is known to possess this unique set of capabilities and assets. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation NLT March 20, 2008 which shall be considered by the agency. However, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made on or about March 21, 2008under simplified acquisition procedures. The NAICS code is 334513.
