- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration's Office of Environment and Energy (FAA/AEE) is in an ongoing effort to create the Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT). AEDT is meant to allow for thorough assessment of the interdependencies between aviation-related noise, emissions, and cost valuations on both local and global scales. This effort is conducted with the assistance of FAA/AEE's current software development team. The Environmental Design Space (EDS), currently envisioned as an integral component of AEDT, is developed jointly by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) using primarily NASA-developed tools.
