- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Request for Information: Collaborative Technology Tools and Methods for Distributed, Interdisciplinary Science which was posted on March 19, 2008. You are notified that the following changes are made: The due date for responses to this RFI is extended to Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Paragraph 4 in the Background Section is changed FROM: A large volume of reference material is available at the Institute's website, http://www7.nationalacademies.org/ssb/ . This assessment is a valuable source of insight into the Institute and its future. Responders should pay particular attention to the NRC?s recommendations in Section 5 of the Assessment, entitled ?Use of Information Technology?. TO: A large volume of reference material is available at the Institute's website, http://nai.nasa.gov, including descriptions of NAI research projects, information on commonly used collaborative tools, and archives of virtual seminars conducted by the NAI. Additional background material is provided in the National Research Council?s Space Studies Board decadal evaluation of the Institute, Assessment of the NASA Astrobiology Institute, available at http://www7.nationalacademies.org/ssb/. This assessment is a valuable source of insight into the Institute and its future. Responders should pay particular attention to the NRC?s recommendations in section 5 of the Assessment, entitled ?Use of Information Technology.? Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
