- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to increase the level of effort on contract N00019-06-C-0118 with CMR Technologies, Inc., Island Heights, NJ. Contract N00019-06-C-0118 was awarded on 11 September 2006 as a firm fixed price commercial contract, with a time and material line item for technical support, for the procurement of one T58 Automated Data Acquisition System (ADAS), and a software update for the six T58 ADAS systems and interim spare piece parts to support the T58 ADAS systems procured under the previous contract. The current effort is for the enhancement of the T58 ADAS by incorporating the functionality to interface with a new Torque Measurement System. The new Torque Measurement System will provide greater accuracy in measuring torque and horsepower and enhanced reliability and maintainability of turbo shaft test cells by utilizing a phase-shift measurement system. The ADAS is the only Department of the Navy approved data acquisition system software for the T58 turbo shaft engines The ADAS is currently in production and this requirement includes a software update. The proposed effort will be awarded on a sole source basis to CMR Technologies, Inc. for an estimated period of performance of 120 days after the award date of the modification to the contract. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code, Section 2304(c) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.. CMR Technologies, Inc. retains exclusive proprietary rights to all the technical data necessary to supply these items. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Numbered Note 22 applies.
