Description

The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price order with Ideal Aerosmith or one of their authorized distributors for four variable rate tables, P/N 230005-1. This unit is designed to test the cockpit interface unit of the V-22 Aircraft. This item has been tested, verified, and validated for use with aircraft in the fleet environment. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. Ideal Aerosmith is considered the only supplier, as they have the technical expertise to provide the logistics data necessary for the items identified completely, accurately, and in a timely manner to meet Fleet needs. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
