Description

To be able to submit a BID for this B363 Fire Alarm Project you must meet the following State Qualifications. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR FIRE ALARM MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS TO SUBMIT A PROP OSAL FOR B365 EFFORT The U.S. Government adopted the NFPA Codes years ago as their Codes and base Fire Protection and Prevention Systems on them. By referencing an NFPA Code, it implies that the U.S. Government is stating how a system is to be d esigned, installed, tested, maintained and how it will function. NICET LEVEL III for the system designer. NICET LEVEL II for the system installation. Proof MUST BE PROVIDED with your bid that the contractor is Qualified in the in stallation, inspection, and testing of fire alarm systems as per the requirements stated in NFPA 72. The authority having jurisdiction has the right to require evidence that the contractor is: 1. Factory trained and certified on the equipment they a re installing. 2. Certified by a nationally recognized fire alarm certification organization. 3. Registered, Licensed, and Certified by a state or local authority to install fire alarm systems. NFPA 72 is proof that the contractor has obtained certification from the state where they are licensed to install fire alarm systems on Fort Monmouth which is subject to approval by the authority having jurisdiction.
