Description
The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13, with Norseman, Inc., DBA, Norseman Defense Technologies, 8172 Lark Brown road, Suite 201, Elkridge, MD 21075-6208. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 22 March 2008 by downloading the documents at the Neco Website as follows: http:// www.neco.navy.mil. The RFQ number is N00189-08-T-0209. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-23 and DFARS Change Notice 20080124. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 423430, and the Small Business Standard is 100 Employees. This procurement will be sole source in order for CNSL to obtain a maintenance service contract from APC for our uninterrupted power supply (UPS) that protects our servers, batteries and a few other parts that are over their life cycle must be replaced by an APC tech. The UPS unit is manufactured by APC and only they can provide a maintenance service contract for their equipment, and Norseman, Inc. is a channel partner with them. The contractor shall provide unit supplies continuous electrical back-up for our servers in of case main power loss or until diesel back-up generator tasks over. This unit keeps the main server from going down and keeps computer service uninterrupted and normal. The unit also protects against black outs or surge in power protecting the servers from damage and keeping them on-line. Description of part numbers are as follows: (1) Two Each, P/N: 0G-0901311, (Fan_sub_assy_for_tsm_0901311); (2) One Each, P/N: 0K0020, (CB02_DP380E_208V_(0600352)); (3) One Each, P/N: 0K0021, (CB01_DP380E_208V-(0600353)); (4) One Each, P/N: WAGSPARTS, (AGS_SPARE_PARTS); (5) Thirty-Two Each, P/N: WB12110SPB-FR, (Power TC-12120S); (6) One Each, P/N: WXBTINS7X24-BT-1, (Battery Install); (7) One Each, P/N WSRV, (Disposal of old batteries); and (8) One Each, P/N: FREIGHT, (Freight Shipping for replacement equipment). The required delivery date is April 16 2008. Brand name is mandatory as items are direct replacement parts and must be compatible with existing equipment. F.O.B. Origin to Norfolk, VA 23551-2494. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; thi s office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. At a minimum, responsible sources shall provide the following: a price proposal on letterhead or a SF1449 which identifies the requested items, with their unit price, extended price, total price, prompt payment terms, remittance address, Tax I.D. #, Duns #, and Cage Code, and GSA Schedule if applicable. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to r eceive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represe nt grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
