Description

The proposed contract action is one for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The intended source is Leupold & Stevens Inc., CAGE 35848, 14400 NW Green brier Parkway, Beaverton OR 97006-5791 OR ANY AUTHORIZED LEUPOLD DISTRIBUTOR. The items to be procured are 4,500 (Four thousand, five hundred) each of the following: the Leupold Mark 4 3.5x10-40mm Long Range/Tactical (LR/T) M3 Riflescope with 30mm Tube, Mil-Dot Reticle, Matte Black, MFG PN 51850 and the Mark 4 Mounting Rings (Steel, Medium) for 30mm Riflescope, MFG PN 61049, two rings per set. These items support the Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) These items are proprietary to Leupold & Stevens, Inc. Leupo ld is the only manufacturer can insure inventory interchangeability of these items and the only supplier that can provide the Government with these fully interchangeable spare parts prior to the Required Delivery Date of June 2008. Estimated issu e date of solicitation is 4 April 2008. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hard copies will not be provided. There is no Technical Data available for the above items. All responsible source s may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
