Description

The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the United States Army Communication Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CECOM LCMC) intends to issue Solicitation W15P7T-08-R-E403 on or around 9 April 2008 for Water Pump Assemblies, Na tional Stock Number 2930-01-169-9165, for the 750 Kilowatt (kW) Prime Power Mobile Electric Power (MEP) 012A and MEP-208A generators.? The acquisition will utilize a Five (5) Year Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. T his procurement is a limited source acquisition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The acquisition is limited to distributors of Cummins Engine Company Inc. (Cummins), 500 Jackson Street, M/C 80960, Columbus, Indiana 47201-6258. Cummins is the only source that manufactures the required Water Pump and is the only source that possesses the technical data, facilities, and expertise needed to manufacture this item. This notice meets t he requirements of FAR 5.201. The U.S. Army CECOM has established an Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website to allow electronic transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) from CECOM to Industry. All parties interested in doing business w ith CECOM are invited to access, operate, send, and receive information from the IBOP at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments or information. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) to receive contract award or payment.
