- Description
- RFP Release Date has been revised to March 27, 2008. The U.S. Marshals Service intends to issue Request for Proposals (RFP) DJMS-08-R-0005 for a National Physical Security Program to provide physical security equipment and services for Federal court facilities and federal judge's residence in the United States, as well as Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam and the Northern Marianas Islands. The contractor must provide appropriate resources in order to engineer, install, service, and monitor security systems and equipment in court buildings and judicial residences. Some of the responsibilities of the contractor include the installation, service, and maintenance of the following types of equipment: cameras, monitors, intercoms, conduit, cabling, networking infrastructure, and technology, locking devices, alarms, security consoles, CCTV recording systems, duress alarms for staff, explosive trace detectors, walk-thru metal detectors, and x-ray machines. These system installations will generally also require both local and Central Station Monitoring capabilities. The contractor personnel provided must have the appropriate level of technical expertise and the quality of managerial oversight in order to coordinate installation and maintenance of time critical projects for the USMS. The contractor shall have a procedure for inspection of equipment installation and maintenance work done by the contractor's technician. The resulting contract will be an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract with multiple cost structures (i.e. firm-fixed, labor-hour, time-and-material, etc) with a one-year base period and four one-year options. All options will be evaluated for award purposes. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Oral presentations will be required along with submission of written proposals, which will be scheduled 7 days after proposals are due. The anticipated issue date for the solicitation is on or about March 27, 2008. The solicitation distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Services are to commence on July 1, 2008. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the web site. This procurement is being issued under full and open competition.
