- Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) is in the process of re-invigorating the discipline of scheduling. With regards to this process, ASC is looking at multiple disciplines within the broad umbrella of schedule. The major components of this initiative are 1) Microsoft Project expertise (mechanical manipulation of Project); 2) creation and generation of an integrated program master schedule (IMS); 3) expertise in other scheduling software; 4) multiple techniques to assess the health of a IMS such as critical path analysis, total slack reports, schedule reserve metrics and performance trend analysis; 5) Earned Schedule analysis; 6) Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA?s); 7)collection and analysis of historical data to build schedule estimating relationships and 8) development of training in any of the above listed areas. To support our future planning, we are issuing this market survey and request for information to identify industry?s capabilities and potential interest to support the scheduling components identified above, and conduct a survey of available talent with specific skills. If you are interested in participating in possible future ASC efforts in scheduling, please respond to this request for information by including the following specific information with your response: 1. Provide a general description of your company?s experience in the area of scheduling. Address your answer to the six specific areas identified above. 2. The number of individuals within your organization who have knowledge in the above areas of scheduling and their longevity in the discipline of scheduling. 3. What areas are they proficient in? Call out each area individually a. When discussing scheduling software expertise, name the software, the specific version being used and a skill level of the individual using the software ? beginner, familiar, expert. b. For the other areas being explored above, address what is each individual?s level of expertise is by area -junior, mid-level, senior? 4. What projects has each individual been involved in? Specify by individual a. What service or industry was the beneficiary of those services? The results of this request will allow ASC to gauge the talent pool available. At this time however, ASC has no definite plans to contract for any work to be performed. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This RFI is not to be construed as a formal solicitation. It does not commit the government to reply to information received, or to later publish a solicitation, or to award a contract based on this information.
