Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Illinois Army National Guard has a requirement for contract food services that will require a vendor to prepare meals between 20 May 2008 and 1 July 2008 at Fort Chaffee Military Trai ning Center, Fort Smith, AR. Solicitation Number W91SMC-08-T-0004 will be available on or about 26 March 2008 at our web site http://www.nationalguardcontracting.org/ebs/advertisedsolicitations.asp. Completed proposals must be submitted to the USPFO for Il linois no later than 12:00 PM, local time, 25 April 2008. The projected contract award date is on or about 2 May 2008. Eventual contract award will be based on Past Performance and Price and vendors should be prepared to submit a quote that they feel will best support our requirements. Vendors must be able to comply with Armed Forces sanitary standards and the FDA/USDA Food Code. Contractors will be responsible for the food preparation and serving. The Government will contract for all food items separatel y. All contractors and subcontractors interested in this project must register at the site. All potential offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov/ All firms must identify the status of their firm as a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, emerging small business, 8(a) business, woman owned business, or veteran owned business. Questions may be directed to Mr. Larry Petit at 217-761-3553. Site Visit scheduled for 15 Apr il at Fort Chaffee, Fort Smith AR at 10AM. All individuals who plan to attend shall send the name, telephone number, address, name of company, company telephone number, vehicle make and model no later than 12:00 PM (noon) on 10 April 2008. Failure to pro vide the information may cause the individual to not be allowed access to the installation.
