- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. Offerors are encouraged to access information also available on the NSWC Crane Division web site at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has a requirement for Direct Current (DC) Motors used in the MK-82 Director which is an integral part of the MK99 Radar System. The contractor shall furnish equipment, parts and labor necessary to perform new manufacture of MK-82 Director DC Motor. The DC Motor must meet form, fit, and function in accordance with Specification Control Drawing 2907650, Rev W. Minimum Quantity 3, Maximum Quantity 80. A Commercial, Firm Fixed Price IDIQ contract for a period of 5 years with minimum and maximum order quantities as specified above will be awarded. Delivery will be FOB Destination to NSWC Crane Division, Crane, Indiana 47522. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination by NSWC Crane personnel. This is a sole source to Skurka Aerospace Inc., Camarillo, CA 93012. Presently, Skurka is the only manufacturer known who can meet the Government?s requirements approved for ship board use. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 20-days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
