Description
U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) is issuing this sources sought notice as part of its market research to identify potential sources of supply who can furnish Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) P25-compliant hand-held radios, transportable base stations, repeater stations, and ancillary components. MARSOC requires these devices to provide the MARSOC Subordinate Commands (MSCs) with a non-tactical handheld radio capable of being employed on DoD base/post/station trunking systems or in conventional mode while away from DoD bases/posts/stations. These radios will provide communications support for personnel conducting assessment and selection, training evaluation and certification, ranges, and safety coordination with Range Control. They will be operated by non-communicators who will also employ 20 W 380-420 MHz UHF transportable base stations and 25?110 W 380-420 MHz UHF tunable repeaters to provide extended communica tions coverage while training away from USMC bases in areas without a trunking infrastructure. This is proposed as an annual recurring lease for a five-year term. All interested sources are encouraged to submit company and product literature (to include pricing), and any other pertinent information for the Government?s consideration. Information should include point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, duns number, cage code and or tax ID number, as well as size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.). The Government is looking for a commercial product that at a minimum meets the requirements as outlined in the attached word document labeled APCO P-25 Component Specs. This sources sought notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a cont ract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities. The NAICS for this effort is 334220. Interested vendors should provide information via email to: LtCol Ken Burger, (910) 451-3478, email kenneth.burger@usmc.mil.
