Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. There is no solicitation package available. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst is seeking Small Business sources including 8(a), Small Disadvantage Veteran Owned and HubZone to make a set aside determination for this procurement, which may be capable of producing Mechanical Prototypes of Support Equipment engineered by the Navy in support of the NAWCAD. The NAWCAD Lakehurst has a requirement for an ISO 9001 certified company to manufacture prototypes of support equipment engineered by the Navy. The prototypes will range from simple to complex. The contractor should have the capability to receive export controlled material in Adobe PDF format. The material will be engineering drawings created in accordance with (IAW) AMSE Y14.100M. The contractor should have most of the following capabilities: 1. General Manufacturing: Cutting, Milling, Turning and Threading, Drilling and Tapping, Reaming, Grinding, Honing, Lapping and Broaching 2. Welding and soldering 3. NDI 4. Sheet Metal: Sheet Metal, Drilling, Engraving, Milling 5. Engraving 6. Plating, Anodizing, Painting and Passivation Additional capabilities which could be utilized include: 1. Computer Aided Manufacturing: The capability for a manufacturer to take a 3D Pro/E model and generate a prototype. 2. Sewing: IAW ASTM D6193 The Government is looking for potential sources for this requirement.
