- The 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission decisionto realign/consolidate the procurement management and other relatedsupport functions from the components to the Defense Logistics Agency,is scheduled to be implemented at Tinker AFB in June 2008 timeframe. Asa result, any contract resulting from this solicitation may be awardedby the DLA Detachment at Tinker AFB. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limitednumber of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested personsmay identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirementor submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request forcompetitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fortyfive-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basicordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will beconsidered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not tocompete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice issolely within the discretion of the Government.
