History: Qty: 4 Source: CFM INTERNATIONAL10. Description: The 2nd Stage Vane Assy is cantilever mounted onthe fan frame front face. Each vane assy consists of an outer shroudwhich is fitted with one or two mounting flanges at its ends. The innershroud face is lined with abradable material facing both forwardrotating air seal, the booster spacers sealing lips and the aft bladeretainer. The 2nd stage vane assy has 107 vanes. It is 40 inches incircumference on the outer diameter, 5 inches in depth, with a centerbore approximately 18 inches. Function: To provide a mounting slot andposition for the 107 titanium alloy vanes to compress the cooling airprovided by the Stage 1 booster blades before sending it to the 3rd and4th stages for further compression and distribution to the internalengine system. Material is Titanium overall.Qualified Source: CFM International, Inc. Not a SB set side. 11. L/I 0001: Qty 19 eachRequired Delivery: On or before 30 May 2008 12. Mandatory Language: Electronic procedure will be used for thissolicitation. The proposed contract action is for supplies and servicesfor which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one,or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respondto the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not arequest for competitive proposals. However, all proposals receivedwithin forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existingbasic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsiswill be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Governmentnot to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to thisnotice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephonerequests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from therequestors are acceptable. Note: While price will be a significantfactor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award may bebased on a combination of price, technical capability, and pastperformances detailed in the solicitation. Note: an Ombudsman has beenappointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors duringthe proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of theOmbudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director orcontracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues,disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate governmentpersonnel.
