- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-08-T-0064 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23 and Defense Acquisition Change Notice 20080124. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423830 and the business size standard is 100. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Naval Air Station Jacksonville Fl intends to purchase on a full and open competitive basis the following line items.1. Cantilever Rack System consisting of the following: a. 14 each - 108” tall single sided tower w/base, having 15,880 lb. Capacity. Steel King #WiX18-0108 – tower or equivalent. b. 42 each - 96” supporting arms having 1,600 lb capacity each. Steel King #SAIB-S5X10096 or equivalent.c. 7 each – 72” centerline brace – xpanel type. Steel King #IB-BraceH072 or equivalent. d. 7 each – 72” centerline brace – crossbar type. Steel King #IB-BraceH072 or equivalent. f. 42 each – ¾" x 5-1/2” floor anchors and package of hardware. 2. The rack system will support a plywood F-18 inner wing skin storage box measuring, 8 ft deep, 12 ft wide and 2 ft high. The weight is expected to be about 2,000 lbs. The cantilever arms will be at the 0 ft – left arm, center arm at 5’ and 10 ft for the right arm. There will be a 1 ft over hang at each side for the storage box, the rack system will be 10 ft wide with the box at 12ft. 3. The rack system will be constructed on metal Mezzanine deck. 4. CAD site drawings and onsite visit are available upon request. Please contact contracting office by COB April 8, 2008 if you require a site visit. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their offer in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. on company letterhead, formal quote form, etc.) but must include the following information: 1) company’s complete mailing and remittance addresses, 2) discounts for prompt payment if applicable 3) cage code, 4) Dun & Bradstreet number, 5) Taxpayer ID number. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their offer. The Government intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and is the most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors.
