Description
DSCP (Defense Supply Center Philadelphia) is seeking Contractor support to develop and test packaging protocols for Frozen Temperature requirements, not utilizing dry ice as a packaging element. Packaging designs should consist of protocols designed to support 3 ambient temperature ranges (Cold, Moderate, and Warm) utilizing 4 different sized shippers. These designs will need to utilize Endurotherm containers, combinations of refrigerated and frozen gel packs (if applicable), and TempTale4 temperature monitors...no dry ice. These designs (utilizing our currently stocked supplies or recommended alternatives) need to maintain the Frozen temperature range of -25 to -10 degrees C for at least 96hrs, 120hrs if possible (no less than 72hrs)...without the use of dry ice. DSCP requests proposals from contractors who can design packaging to support this temperature range for those times, perform tests to validate those results, and provide us detailed pack-out instructions and validation reports. Please direct any questions to Todd Stackhouse. He can be reached by phone at 215-737-2849 or email at todd.stackhouse@dla.mil.
