- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. T he Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is presently located in over 13 buildings in the Washington, DC Metro area (the Washington, DC Metro area is defined as roughly a 30 mile radius from the Main IRS Headquarters Building at 1111 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC). Employees may be required to visit the various area offices and will require transportation to and from these locations. This notice is to identify sources capable of providing taxi (hired car) service for IRS employees in accordance with all terms, conditions and provisions during the hours of 7:00 AM through 4:00 PM EST, between three (3) of the larger staffed buildings and two (2) local metro stations. The locations of the IRS Buildings are as follows: The Headquarters Building, with its pick-up/drop-off point located at 10th Street, N.W, (Pavilion entrance), Washington, DC; the New Carrollton Federal Building, with its pick-up/drop-off point located at 5000 Ellin Road, New Carrollton, MD; and, The Constellation Building, with its pick-up/drop-off point located at 6009 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill, MD. The Constellation Building will require pick-up/drop-off to two (2) local metro stations: Branch Avenue Metro Station and Huntington Metro Station in Alexandria, VA. All interested vendors should send an email to faith.m.ashton@irs.gov with the following documentation: Name of Company and Address, Point of Contact and Phone number, business size (small, veteran-owned small business, service-disable small business, HUBZone, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged business, woman owned or large business), taxi service capabilities, corporate account structure to include placing calls for taxi service, response time, and the payment of services, and, the company's availability/ability to pick-up and drop-off in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and/or Virginia. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. This notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited: no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. The government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as deemed appropriated for this procurement.
