- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/ ). The RFQ number is N00189-08-Q-PL39. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-24 and DFARS Change Notice 20080303. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS code is 811219 and the Small Business Standard is 500. Negotiations are currently being conducted with GEInspection Technologies as they are the sole source provider of this requirement. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing these brand name mandatory items: 0001: XLG3 System consisting of the XLG3 Base Unit, Handset, and tall size System Case. The XLG3 Base Unit includes 3.5 GB internal user memory, Advanced Image Processing Image Software and is Measurement Capable with the purchase of optional measurement tips. Features of the XLG3 Base Unit include Digital Image and Video Storage, I/O Includes: (3) USB-2 Ports, (2) PC Cardbus ports, S-Video input and output, VGA output, audio input and output, AC input and output, DC input and output. XLG3 System features include: Portable operation, expandable internal memory, integrated insertion tube storage reel, handset docking point, carrying and tie down rings, 1000 hr 75 Watt HID Lamp, MPEG 2 Video Compression, jpeg and bitmap still image formats. Video output is switchable NTSC and PAL. User manual on CD is included. Optional Features include: Real time DVD Recorder, Networking and Ethernet port operation. Features of the XLG3 Handset include integrated wide VGA, 6.4” color LCD!, single joystick for articulation and menu control, control buttons, audio microphone. Includes 16:9, and 4:3 viewing. Accepts any XLG3 probe. Handset cable is 2.4 meter (8 feet) long. Included accessories are handset holder, 512MB USB Flash Drive, Right Angle Flash Drive Adaptor, and Power DVD for the MPEG2 Codec.
