Description
The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center SanDiego Pacific C4ISR Department, Code 52 intends to issue a solicitation for non-PEO C4ISR/SPAWAR support in the form of engineering, fabrication,installation, logistics/administrative support, design, testing and evaluation,rapid prototype development (i.e., set up a working model to prove a concept),and acquisition of commercial-off-the-shelf items utilized in turnkeyoperationsof sophisticated electronic/communications equipment and systems at shorestations throughout the world and onboard U. S. Coast Guard vessels in port orat sea. Major system types for which services may be required under thiscontract are: Air Traffic Control; Surveillance; Networks - Local Area (LAN)andWide Area (WAN); Command, Control, Communications, Computer &Intelligence (C4I); Cryptological Systems; Navigational Aids; VideoTeleconferencing; Simulators and Trainers; Integrated Physical SecuritySystems, including Electronic Sensor Systems, including Remote SensorSystems for Physical Security; Closed Circuit Television; Telemetry;Telecommunication Service Request/Order/Change and Test and MonitoringSystems (TAMS). Requirements may be performed throughout the world, butprimarily in Hawaii, Guam, Japan, San Diego, Singapore, Diego Garcia andSouth Korea. The estimated level of effort is approximately 92,000 hours per year. AnIndefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract with acost-plus-fixed-fee(CPFF) pricing arrangement is anticipated. The anticipated period ofperformance will be a one-year base period and fouroption periods, each one year, for a total of five years. NO SOLICITATIONEXISTSAT THIS TIME. It is currently anticipated that Solicitation N66001-08-R-0052regarding this requirement will be released on or about 12 May 2008. Thesolicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from thisannouncementwill be available to interested parties via the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central website at https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil, under Business Opportunities, SSCSAN DIEGO, "Open Solicitations." The solicitation will only be availableelectronically at this web site. Hard copies of the solicitation will not beavailable. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodicallymonitor the SPAWAR E-Commerce page for updates and new listings. A biddersmailing list will not be established.
