- Description
- The Masschusetts Air National Guard located at Barnes, ANGB, Westfield, MA and the USPFO for Massachusetts intends to issue a Information for Bid (IFB)to award a firm fixed price contract; AXQD 059359 Air Sovereignty Alert (ASA) Complex--Construct new access pavement and install 3 double wide aircraft shelters with fire suppression and utility support. Provide security fencing and gates. Provide support for the intrusion detection system. Construct alert crew quarters with reinforeced concrete floor slab, masonary walls and roof structure and all associated interior partitions, utility systems and insulation. Provide fencing, controlled access gate house. Area lighting, backup power, and communications support for the complex. Total vertical construction is approximately 45,000 SF: total paving is approximately 15,000 SY. Existing concrete pavement demolition is approximately 3,000 SY. Existing asphalt pavement demolition is approximately 12,000 SY. Make sure you check with the solicitation for all up to date information. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236220--Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on-or-about 20 April 2008. The solicitation closing date is scheduled for on-or-about 20 May 2008. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. The Government intends to award without discussions, therefore, the offerors initial bid shall contain its best terms. Interested offerors must register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Firms can register via the CCR Internet site at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting the CCR Information Center at 1-888-227-2423. Interested offerors are required to submit their representations and certifications on-line at http://orca.bpn.gov. You will need your DUNS number and CCR MPIN in order to log into the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) website. All contrators and subcontractors interested in this project must register at this site.
