- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Request for quote (RFQ) CAP0803. (iii) The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 05-24. (iv) The NAICS code is 423430, the size standard is 500 employees. The requirement is for Brand Name Specific Make and Model (EMC Corporations DMX equipment). Only New products (FAR 52.211-5) are acceptable due to OEM Manufacturer?s warranty on existing equipment would be voided if other than new equipment were installed. (v) Provide a price for each of the following CLINs. (vi) CLIN 0001: P/N: DMX2G10-1461U Description: 146GB10K ONE DRV U, 7 each. CLIN 0002: P/N: DMX2G10U-1462U, Description: 146GB10K MIRR UP, 18 each. CLIN 0003: P/N: DMX-M5-4096U, Description: 4gb Cache DIR UPG, 2 each. CLIN 0004: P/N: DRIVEPACK-200, Description 200 Drive Bulk Pack Shipping Cont. 1 each, CLIN 0005: PS-BAS-RMPLK,Description: Commercial PMGMT 4 HRS QS, 1 each. Note: Binfile configuration pricing to be included with all data drives. (vii) Ship to Defense Commissary Agency 5258 Oaklawn Blvd, Hopewell, VA 23860-7336, FOB destination; acceptance at destination. Delivery requested no later than 30 days ARO or sooner if possible. Brand Name Rationale - The hardware refresh of the testbed data storage requires an additional 3 terabytes of usable disk storage to meet the current, plus 20% future growth of mirrored storage for DeCA?s test and development environments. DMX data storage is currently in place and provides high performance and high capacity to enable DeCA to effectively support the information storage needs of the agency. (viii) FAR 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. Award will be based on technically acceptable low offer.(ix) The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.203-6 Alt1, 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.216-24, 52.216-25, 52.225-13.(x). The following DFARS clauses apply to this acquisition: 252.204-7003, 252.211-7003, 252.212-7001, 252.225-7001, 252.243-7001, 252.246-7000, 252.247-7022 (access to clauses can be made via http://FARSITE.HILL.AF.MIL). The following Section 508 Accessibility Standard(s) (Technical & Functional Performance Criteria) are applicable to this acquisition: 1194.25 Self contained, closed product, 1194.31 Functional Performance Criteria.
