Description

Solicitation SP0600-08-R-0214 is being issued for the purchase of 921,600 gallons of AVGAS (130), Aviation Gasoline (100LL) 9130-00-179-1122 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The AVGAS is to be delivered to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar in ISO containers to avoid contamination and to improve time in shipments when entering port. Currently the activity orders about 4 ISO containers (25,600 USG) every 30 days. Due to limited storage on-site (50,000 USG) at the Al Udeid Air Base ISO Containers supplement storage and can be retained for months at a time. The ISO Containers must be delivered by ship to Post of Doha and then transferred to Al Udeid after clearing customs. The contract period is 1 August 2008 through 30 July 2011. The solicitation is due to open on approximately 17 April 2008.
