- Description
- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport intends to place on a Sole Source basis, a firm-fixed price order with Future Technologies, Inc for interim support services for the Metrology and Standards Laboratory. This interim support is necessary while a competitive follow-on contract is processed. Due to the need for continuity of services and considering FTI’s specialized experience in calibration and repairs according to the guidelines of MCL accreditation to ISO 17025/ANSI Z540 standards and experience in calibrating equipment in accordance with NAVSEA OD45845, Metrology Requirements List (METRL), the MCL Quality Assurance Manuel and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FTI is the only company that can supply these services. Based on this FTI is the only company that can provide the services in the necessary time frame. The estimated level of effort is 2,000 hours. The period of performance is 16-April-2008 through 30-September-2008. NAICS Code is 811219, size standard $6.5 million. This procurement is being processed on an unrestricted basis. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Instructions for registering are available at the CCR website. Prospective contractors must also have an active ORCA registration. Instructions for registering are available at https://orca.bpn.gov/. The solicitation (N66604-08-Q-2861) will be posted on or about 7-April-2008 and will close on 15-April-2008 at 2PM. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
