Description
The Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) Office, Kirtland AFB, NM will be interested in receiving proposals from all offerors to advance the state-of-the-art and scientific knowledge in responsive launch, range and system architecture and modeling technologies. The ORS Office is looking for innovative solutions to launch vehicles and range operations that support meeting the ORS 2015 goals in performance, reliability, maintainability, supportability, affordability, or which enhance performance or significantly reduce cost, schedule, or technical risk in the areas of interest that enable operationally responsive space access. Specific areas of focus for launch and range enablers are: - What can be done to enhance our current launch capability and range operations to meet ORS objectives? - What are concepts for future capability that can be more responsive to ORS launch and range requirements? The ORS office is looking for innovative approaches to conduct ORS 2015 conceptual end state architecture modeling, simulation and analysis and Tier-1 experimentation and demonstrations. The BAA, once released, will give full detail and expectations for successful bidders. The ORS Office tentatively plans to host a Bidder?s Conference in Albuquerque NM on 13-14 February 2008. Specifics of the meeting will be available when the draft BAA is published in the immediate future. This solicitation will be open to all US and International Business, Universities, Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations, and Government organizations. This announcement does not constitute a request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government.
