- Description
- The U.S. Department of State seeks sources for the following equipment, to be donated to the Government of Mexico under an assistance program for international narcotics and law enforcement. Money Counter Requirements: Single contractor to provide the following. Quantity: 2 large heavy duty currency processors with ability to read and record serial numbers from US dollar bills; and 15 medium sized currency counters for “on-site” currency processing. Must have a hard transportation case to protect the machine while in transport. Large Currency Processor Requirements: Ability to process both Mexican Pesos and US dollars; Heavy Duty – needs to be built for commercial currency processing with 24 X 7 availability; Effective note processing speed (at least 700 bills per minute); Ability to sort out false bills and place them in a reject slot; Open architecture to ensure connectivity with existing networks and operating systems; At least 12 currency modules (pockets) (large capacity modules/pockets (holding at least 200 bills each) to sort and count currency; Graphical and/or Spanish user interface; High capacity note feeder (at least 2,000 bills); Short edge note feed to ensure the proper handling of poor quality bills; Detectors to detect and reject based upon tautness/limpness of the bill, tape, physically damaged bills, dirt, and folded bills; Machines must run on normal electrical power and not require any modifications to the electrical system of the building where they will be used; The machine must be able to operate in a non-air conditioned environment; Optical character recognition to record currency serial numbers (This feature is indispensable); The company must have on-site capability in Mexico City in order for the client to have direct technical support. The client is located in Mexico City. The company must be available 24 X 7 by telephone for any client questions. (This feature is indispensable); The company must also offer on-site maintenance (to include routine and emergency maintenance (parts and labor included), on-site and with a response time of within 90 minutes) (This feature is indispensable); Delivery time: Equipment must be delivered and installed in Mexico City within 8 weeks. Medium Size Currency Processor Requirements: Ability to process both Mexican Pesos and US dollars; Medium duty – Needs to have a hard protective case for transportation; Fast processing speed (at least 1,000 bills per minute); Ability to sort out false bills and place them in a reject slot; Open architecture to ensure connectivity with existing networks and operating systems At least 4 currency modules (pockets) (large capacity modules/pockets (holding at least 200 bills each) to sort and count currency; Graphical and/or Spanish user interface; Medium capacity note feeder (At least 500 bills); High quality bill handling features to ensure the proper handling of poor quality bills; Detectors to detect and reject based upon tautness/limpness of the bill, tape, physically damaged bills, dirt, and folded bills; Must include the following authenticity detectors: Magnetic image and thread, Infrared, Pattern recognition and Ultraviolet; Machines must run on normal electrical power and not require any modifications to the electrical system of the building where they will be used; The machine must be able to operate in a non-air conditioned environment; The company must have on-site capability in Mexico City in order for the client to have direct technical support. The client is located in Mexico City. The company must be available 24 X 7 by telephone for any client questions. (This feature is indispensable); The company must also offer on-site maintenance (to include routine and emergency maintenance (parts and labor included), on-site and with a response time of under 90 minutes) (This feature is indispensable); Delivery time: Delivery within 30 days is needed.
