- Pre-solicitation notice for the purchase of 2,701 EA manufactured chain assemblies: P/N: 071116-108 This requirement is to manufacture chain assemblies utilizing Government furnished chains. The work involves manufacturing chain hooksand welding these chain hooks to the provided chains. Contractor is responsible for picking up the chains from Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD), Chambersburg, PA, and delivering the finished product back to LEAD. A first article test chain assembly is required for Government approval. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed priced contract. The FOB point is Letterkenny Army Depot (destination). This will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. See numbered note 1. Solicitation date: O/A 11 April 2008,Closing date: O/A 24 April 2008. The annotated closing date for the solicitation is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation. The solicitation will not close prior to the annotated closing date. A copy of thesolicitation and drawing can be downloaded from https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ on or about 11 April 2008.
