- A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Demolish existing floor plan and reconfigure interior spaces as required to facilitate new mission requirements. The approximately 75,000 SF facility, will be gutted and replaced with new mechanical, new electric and a new floor plan. Any non load bearing walls can be moved. Replace windows, HVAC system including ductwork; rewire electrical distribution, telephone, and computer network systems. Incorporate covered entry ways. Provide a command group suite located away from an exterior wall section. Force protection (physical security) measures will be incorporated into design including laminated window glass, site and building access control measures, and maximum feasible standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Heavy landscaping and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distancecannot be maintained. Demolish buildings P0152 and P0154 old unusable facilities. Air conditioning: 880 kw/250 tons Contract duration is 720 days and estimated cost range is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. With an actual cost closer to 25,000,000. NAICS is 236220. Size limitation is $31.0M. All interested HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before April 21, 2008 by 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification or verification of the company by the Small Business Administration, as either certified HUBZone, certified 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project, (3) Past Experience - Provide descriptions of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include office complexes, schools, vehicle maintenance shops, and warehouses. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.
