Description
NASA/DFRC has a requirement for pressure transducers to be used on the SOFIAplatform flight project.The parts needed are: (Kulite part numbers referenced below)Part # LL-125A-15A (no 5th wire calibration) -60degF to +130degF extended temp compensation requestedQuantity 30 5th wire included, but not calibratedPart # LL-125B-15A (5th wire calibration included) -60degF to +130degF extended temp compensation requested5th wire with 7-point temperature calibration includedQuantity 10 Part # XTL-190A-15A (no 5th wire calibration), short version-60degF to +130degF extended temp compensation requested5th wire included, but not calibratedQuantity 30Part # XTL-190A-15A (5th wire calibration included), short version-60degF to +130degF extended temp compensation requested5th wire with 7-point temperature calibration includedQuantity 10 NASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from Kulite West. This vendors products arealready incorporated into the SOFIA project and other related projects at NASA Dryden.This vendor can offer the best form fit and function within the measurement and aircraftinstallation bounds. The project also has very a rigid timeline and Kulite West can meetthe timeline needed to keep SOFIA on schedule. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon April 19, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
