Description
Description This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into negotiations for a Maintenance Service Agreement for Varian Equipment (i.e., Varian Linear Accelerator and CLINAC 21 EX). The contractor will furnish all labor, parts, materials and travel expenses to provide full corrective service, inspections and preventive maintenance to government -owned equipment listed below and located at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas to be readily accessible for the VA Medical Center. The Agreement will be for a twelve month base period with two, one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. This requirement will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the product. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to Wanda Thomas, Contracting Officer within ten days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Veteran Affairs Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center will proceed with the intended consignment agreement. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. Information can be sent to Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Attn: Wanda W.
