- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is soliciting request for quotes in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The purpose of this procurement is to provide on-site preventive maintenance, inspection, and emergency repair of Government-owned Beckman Coulter laboratory instruments for a 12 month period. The equipment is located in multiple buildings on the Centers Roybal campus at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, Georgia. The contractor shall be a qualified technician of laboratory equipment and be certified to maintain and repair Beckman Coulter products (1) The contractor shall perform preventive maintenance in sufficient detail and frequency to ensure the capability and availability of the instruments. (2) The contractor shall perform twice annually, preventive maintenance calls which shall consist of but shall not be limited to, inspection, examination of all functioning parts, through clening, proper lubrication, replacement or repair of worn or unserviceable parts, adjustment and calibration made with the expressed intent of maintaining the instrument(s) to the manufacturers original specifications. (3) The contractor shall respond to emergency repair calls from CDC users. The contractors response shall include but shall not be limited to the inspection and restoration of each instrument to its original specified operating parameters in 24 consecutive hours, not to exceed 48 hours, excluding weekends and Federal holidays, after an emergency call has been placed. (4) All labor and travel fees shall be included for instrument repair and planned maintenance. (5) The contractor shall provide immediate telephone and email access to trained lab instrument technical support. THE SOLICITATION SF18 (REQUEST FOR QUOTATION) is attached to this web posting. ALL QUESTIONS about this requirement must be submitted by email to gsanders@cdc.gov no later than 2:00 PM local prevailing time on April 14, 2008. Responses to questions will be posted at this site. THE CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES will be on April 18, 2008, at no later than 3:00 PM local prevailing time.
