Description

This is a Request for Information for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Training and Information Services Division (TISD), Federal Student Aid, U.S. Department of Education conducts training and outreach activities at Federal Student Aid's ten Regional Training Facilities, at various off-site locations, and in a variety of on-line formats, including asynchronous self-paced training. To ensure that all training efforts are appropriately evaluated by attendees and participants of the training, we currently collect a combination of paper forms and on-line surveys that are approved by the Office of Management and Budget. These surveys are manually collated and analyzed at a high labor cost. This manual collection also creates the possibility of data entry error, loss of paper documents in transit, and calculation errors. Therefore, TISD is in search of a solution that can collect evaluation data from both on-line and machine-scannable training evaluation forms, automate the data entry process, including the collection of text comments, and integrate the data electronically so that it can be organized, analyzed, and reports generated. We would also like the capability to port data into standard spreadsheet formats from other sources including on-line survey vendors, such as Zoomerang or Surveymonkey. Interested parties are encouraged to submit information on product capabilities. An estimate for planning purposes only of the number of training course evaluations and surveys collected annually is approximately 25,000 to 30,000.
